One of the reasons that people give for promoting “Open Carry” of guns is that “Only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun.” But how can you tell the difference before it is too late? The fact is, you can’t. And with an automatic weapon, once a “bad guy” starts shooting, dozens of people could be dead before a “good guy” has time to blink.
This shirt points out the fallacy of thinking that anyone can predict who is a “bad guy” in advance. Many of the people who kill other people believe themselves to be “good guys” – at least at the time they bought the gun. But stress and anger or depression can cause many “good guys” to snap. And by then it is too late.
Wouldn’t it be wiser to reduce the number of guns to begin with? At least without “open carry” we would know who the bad guy was by the fact that he was waving a gun around.
