One of the most common rebuttals to attempts to pass gun control laws is that “Guns don’t kill people; people kill people.” Our T-shirt expresses this as, “It’s not the guns, it’s the people.” This absurd statement has a very simple response – so why give people guns?
Comparisons between nations and even between states shows that more guns in the hands of people means more gun deaths. It really is that simple.
I’ve created two different versions of this design. The small version prints on the FRONT on a BLACK T-shirt, while the bigger version prints on the BACK on a NAVY Blue T-shirt.
The larger version on the back puts the “It’s not the guns” in a rectangle reminiscent of a bumper sticker and kind of shouts the question. The smaller version on the front kind of slyly whispers the question under its breath.
