Family virtue cards are a thoughtful family gift.
How many virtues can you name off the top of your head? Â And how you figure out which is the best virtue in any given situation? Helping people answer these questions with confidence is what the Family Virtues Project is all about. These cards are like the “Cliff Notes” version of the popular Family Virtues Guide book, which is being used by families all over the world as part of The Virtues Project.
While the book goes into greater depth about each virtue, this deck of 52 virtues cards give you bite-sized inspiration that you can carry with you all day long. Each card contains a thought-provoking quotation, the meaning of the virtue, how to practice the virtue and an affirmation. Like the book, it can be used as a handy reference guide. Unlike the book, you can choose one card at a time to carry and think about all day long. With 52 cards, you can focus on one a week for a year. Do them in Alphabetical order, or pull them from the deck at random. By the end of the year, you will have a pretty comprehensive understanding of a host of virtues and how to apply them.
These are a companion to the Family Virtues Guide, which offers a coordinated program for infusing virtues into your family life. These cards can be used to reinforce the virtue that the family talks about during family night. They can be slipped into a lunch bag, taped to a bathroom mirror, or read on the way to school in the morning.
There are also classroom virtue cards appropriate for classroom use and virtue reflection cards for your personal use.
